Farewell Autumn

A few days back I spent an early morning wandering around woodland in thick mist searching for intimate details that would capture a sense of the atmosphere of the day and of the end of autumn.

While it may not be the most dramatic photograph I've ever taken I do rather enjoy the soft subtlety of this image... what do you think?

The image has been given a slightly cooler white balance to bring out the blue in the morning mist, adding another layer of colour contrast with the red ferns and yellow leaves.
