Our first frost of the year back in late October as the rising sun creeps over the horizon to the right, illuminating the peaking autumn colours in the background. The stately home in the distance is Stonor Manor in case you were wondering.

This is a favourite local spot of mine to explore in autumn, the colours can be wonderful. Some clouds would have been nice but with frosty/snowy shots I don't think they're strictly necessary. I reckon the cool hues of the blue sky can actually complement the frost quite well... thoughts?

i mean the shadow beneath the near tree..is green........and the lonely tree with the red shadow beneath....

I see, yes shielded from frost by the near tree, and the far one is red cos of the fallen leaves.... but I'm sure you figured that out! :)

This is beautiful - and the view down the hill is stunning, its so clear with some beautiful changes in colour. :)
Frosts are great if you can get up early enough to walk in them! Love the perspective from the old tree stump, leading down the hill ... perfect! :heart:
