Spent a while trying to come up with a title before realising as a fan of Nirvana there was an obvious choice I'd yet to think of...

I hadn't planned on going out shooting today but the weather was just too damn good to pass up and I found this field somewhat hypnotic as the light kept changing. Got totally covered in pollen, but no signs of hayfever (yet).. hoping I've outgrown it... man I used to get it BAD, but it'd still be worth braving if a decent photo resulted!

Finally got one of these I'm happy with... I was primarily shooting for stock but quite liked how this one turned out. All about exposure and flare control really. Minimal postwork - removed a small amount of lens flare, did a tiny bit of dodging, then resize & sharpen.. that's about it... one for the "purists" I guess..

=)

Oh wow! The angle of this shot is so different. It gives the flowers such strength. Its almost like they are majestic trees reaching for the clear blue sky, yet they are so much more delicate and elegant. It’s a very nice effect, how tall where they originally? To add on to, the colours look great together, yellow and blue is always a excellent choice xD They give such contrast and the it really makes the yellow pop from the page. And the small off centered flare of light looks great hidden within the flower. A very nice piece indeed! Good luck with avoiding the hayfever, I recommend lots of napping =3

=) I have to confess it took a good while in this field fiddling around with angles, lenses, tripod positions etc etc. I was having issues with the flare shooting into the sun so needed to find a way to block it a bit while still making the sun a part of the composition.. the plants were generally about waist-height (I'm 6ft), so setting the tripod up and getting the angle took a bit of belly-work hehe
