*moved to scraps, probably more of a stock shot than something which will find a long-term place in my gallery...
A ladybird on lavender. Thought I'd inject a bit of summer colour into my gallery to break up these autumn shots
I was looking at this thinking there were some blotchy blown highlights in the exposure, on the shiny side of the ladybird, and then realised that actually you can just make out a reflection of my lawn, with the line of trees and the sun behind them... nuts how reflections sometimes pop up where you're not really expecting them...
ohhh, the colours are beautiful! ! I love lady bugs (except when they try to make a home out of your hair). But this picture has such great contrasts and I love things that contrast. With the different colours and textures. The mix of the purples, oranges and greens, and the fuzzy flower petals and glossy hard shell of the lady bug. The crisp lines of the focus point, and the blurred out background, and the way it just seems to sparkle. Lots of contrast yet still holding onto a sense of unity in the piece<3 And the reflection on the shell is very cool >3 A very enjoyable picture ^^
I love the colors. I'm amazed how you capture something beautiful like this. I wish I'm can be as awesome as you. D8
