*Updated 10th June 2010:
this shot was long overdue a re-edit and it took the deadline of the 4eyes contest to give me the motivation to undertake it... in the end I wasn't satisfied in time so I didn't enter it, but have now had enough time to finish it to my liking. Damn deadlines
I actually really liked the atmosphere to the original edit so tried to replicate it as best I could, but now the file is MUCH cleaner (no HDR or watercolour filter) and more photographic in nature... there's much less CA, better web sharpening, a better colour balance, less noise and no more clipped shadows or highlights.... which all means it should print better too. Took a few hours on and off to get it right (wasn't rushing this one) but I think I'm just about satisfied to call this edit conclusive.... do speak up if you have any thoughts for editing improvements though, however small they may be!(Original comments below)
Another shot from my recent travels round France. This is Mont St Michel, on the north coast of France, and man was it busy when we were there - must have taken a good 3 or 4 hours queuing that day..!
Sorry about the 'watermark', I hate having to do it but am getting a little pissed when I see something I've created somewhere without acknowledgement or permission. My work isn't really stock, but if you were thinking of using anything of mine please always ask first and credit me and all will be cool
Anyway - the shot was created from a 3-exposure HDR image, run through a couple of filters at reduced opacity in ps, and given a bit of a colour boost, enjoy!
