Lush spring greens at Sgwd y Pannwr, Brecon Beacons national park, Wales.
I shot this image perched on a thin ledge beyond the end of the walking trail - it's pretty much the 'standard' view the more unadventurous walkers see when they peer over the edge for a glimpse of the falls. I claim a 'zero' for originality here, although going at this time of year did treat me to the lush spring greens you can see in the foreground.
To be honest I wasn't going to bother with this one originally but a customer requested a horizontal print of a waterfall surrounded by lush greens so here we are! The composition felt a touch awkward to me at first but I actually think I prefer it to the other now it's finished.
My sister was here recently to visit for the first time and I drove the 3 hours (and back - 6hrs RT) just so I could spend about an hour showing her the waterfall and us walking up to the bridge. I feel it is a must-see item on anyone's agenda when coming to the Pacific Northwest.
