Believe it or not these cascades are the top of the same falls as seen in the shot below. I wasn't even standing at the bottom in the other image, there were even more cascades behind me! Ahh nature, never ceases to amaze :) Sgwd Isaf Clun Gwyn, Brecon Beacons national park, Wales.

Just one or two more, then I'm done with falls for the time being!

Love this one the best. There is an interesting conflict between the level horizon and the titled sedimentary rocks that makes your eye linger while trying to figure out what is going on. On the technical side, this image seems to best control highlights in the water, some of the other ones come pretty close to pure white.

Thanks very much, I think this is probably my favourite of the bunch too which is weird cos I almost thought the shot was too plain and obvious... just goes to show it's always worth shooting the obvious ones as well as the more experimental/creative attempts! Cheers for pointing out the highlights too... blown highlights on waterfall shots are an absolute no-no for me so in fact they do all retain detail in the brightest parts... my monitor is calibrated slightly on the darker side so there is no alteration in apparent brightness when I make prints (how many people have you heard complain their prints always appear darker than their screens? easy solution there ;))... I'll remember that for the web versions of future images though and be sure to pull back the 'superlights' a touch more... cheers mate!

I just realized that I commented on this image twice. I saw the new post that linked to the old ones, decided that I like this one better. At least I am consistent

Hehe no worries, I vaguely remember your well considered comment from before but it's nice to have it confirmed anyway! I do the same too sometimes :)

This is gorgeous, and has an almost unreal feel about. No, maybe "magical" is a better word.
The moss gives the place a sense of agelessness, but the running water brings life to it that you can almost feel.
I am always astounded and in awe of your amazing photos.
