It's funny how sometimes it takes moving away from something to really appreciate it... I used to pass by this view almost every day back at school and I guess I was just so used to it that I never really took much notice. Being back in the area I realise just what a picturesque, idyllic English view it is.
The image comes from the second of two mornings back in autumn trying to finally get a photograph of the castle in decent light. The first morning was a total blanket of grey cloud but on the second our luck was better and we were fortunate that there were actually rowers keen to be out on the river so early on a Sunday!
I agree, its sometimes easy to forget how beautiful something is that you see daily - this is a cracker Adam, the rower in the foreground really makes this for me!
